Occurring
for 3 hours
This is not one service which will take three hours. Rather it is a chance to join in prayer and reflection as we remember the three hours Jesus suffered upon the Cross for us all. You can join us for the whole three hours, or for just one or two of the services on the day.
At 12pm we will reflect upon the 'Seven Last Words' of Jesus, the last words which Jesus spoke while upon the Cross.
At 1pm we will pray the Litany from the Book of Common Prayer, asking for God's mercy upon the world which his Son was content to die for.
Finally at 2pm there is the Liturgy of Good Friday, when we remember the last moments of Jesus' earthly life, we venerate the Cross, and receive Holy Communion. If you need a gluten-free wafer, please ask before 2pm
