Such a lovely service ~with a full church and many candles flickering in the darkness, creating a peaceful ambiance.'Thank you to Rye Harbour Pottery who donated the beautiful candle holders, thank you also to David for sourcing them along with many jam jars! The church was dressed with fresh foliage, with a stunning nativity at the church entrance. Everyone sang and mulled wine was enjoyed at the end!
The Remembrance Day Service at St Laurence Guestling was both reflective and moving. Special guests The Royal British Legion, 2 local Scout groups along with the local football team and congregation meant~ the church was full~.The children were very well behaved and respectful, placing poppies and crosses at the memorial. Chairman of the Pett District branch of the RBL John Pulfer and other RBL guests were very grateful for the money raised £234.96. Thankyou everyone. The choir sang a beautiful piece written by Choir Master Val ‘For the Fallen’.
