There was a very significant event in February 2016 when our new Priest-in-charge, Rev Colin Dachler, was installed. We are delighted to have Colin and his family living in the Rectory and prominent members of the community.
SMASH, our Junior Church, goes from strength to strength. SMASH stands for St Marys At the Scout Hut, which is just across the lane and where the children are taken during the Parish Communion. This happens every week, except on the first Sunday of the month, when we hold a Family Service.
Our worship is mixed, guitar and choruses to organ/hymnal and traditional hymns, with time for us to see what the children have been up to in SMASH. Family services are relevant and engaging for all ages.
Fittleworth is a lively village with lots of events taking place. The Friends of St Marys is an excellent organisation which holds many entertaining evenings, usually in the village Hall. Newcomers can become as fully involcved as they wish.
