DUE TO THE COLD WEATHER - SUNDAY SERVICES WILL TAKE PLACE IN ST PETER'S CHURCH NOT ST ANDREW'S STARTING FROM THIS WEEK 21ST JANUARY 2023 - UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. ST PETER'S WAITES LANE, FAIRLIGHT WHICH IS 5 MINUTES AWAY 'FOR FULL ADDRESS PLEASE SEE ST PETER'S FAIRLIGHT AT A CHURCH NEAR YOU'.

At a celebration of the Eucharist, the community gathers, asks God’s forgiveness for its sins, listens to readings from the Bible including a reading from one of the Gospels. A sermon may be preached and the community prays together. Bread and wine are brought to the holy table (also called ‘the altar’), the priest prays the Eucharistic Prayer, and everyone says the Lord’s Prayer together. The community then receives the consecrated bread and wine. At the end of the service, the community is sent out into the world as a ‘living sacrifice’ to live and work to God’s praise and glory.

St Andrew's, Fairlight

The parish of Fairlight: St Andrew is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Chichester's safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
