All the Christmas Services were so well attended and happy, community occasions. The Carols by Candlelight started with the first verse of O little town of Bethlehem being sung as a solo with only all (28) the little Christmas Trees lit at the front of the Church. The service was a celebration of Jesus birth with all the readings done by those from the village. Carols around the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve was attended by many families, despite the blustery weather. At both events there was plenty of mulled wine and nibbles to help the evening along. On Christmas Day we celebrated the birth of Jesus with all the congregation joining in the Christmas story and singing very loudly. The main family service was followed by a brief Holy Communion Service. The Bell Ringers turned out for all three events and made sure everyone in the village knew that there was something going on at Church. Praise God that so many in the village wanted to turn out to celebrate Jesus, King of Kings coming as a baby.
