About Us

St Mary Magdalen Church, Coldean was a Sussex barn built around 1800, which was converted into a church in 1955 to meet the needs of the growing housing estate around it. It is the only church in Coldean. The Eucharist is celebrated every Sunday at 10.00 a.m.

Our hymn choice is varied, with an even mix of traditional and modern church music. We consider ourselves to be a friendly church family, and everyone is warmly welcomed to join us.

We also have a well maintained church hall with disabled access and toilet, kitchen and garden. This is available for hire at £21.00 per hour.

There is a car park and ample on street (free) parking except on football match days.

It is available for regular or one-off lets.
