The wonderful fundraising venture by Sussex Historic Churches Trust is on again this year. Cyclists and walkers visit as many churches as they can for sponsorship. Last year we had two cyclists who raised a magnificent sum, equally split between the Trust and our church.

St Bartholomew, Burwash

We welcome you to St Bartholomew's Burwash, a beautiful medieval church in the heart of the High Weald.   This is one of the three churches in the United Benefice of Burwash, Burwash Weald and Etchingham.

We have large numbers of visitors every year, quite often from overseas and often following a visit to the National Trust property, Bateman's.  Many nice remarks are left in the visitors' book.  The doors are open every day from about 9 am to dusk (but varying according to the season).
