Epiphany - also known as Three Kings' Day.
It is a special date in the Christmas story as it's when people celebrate how a star led the Magi - also known as the Three kings or the Wise Men - to visit the baby Jesus after he had been born.
'Epiphany' comes from the Greek word meaning 'to reveal', as it is when the baby Jesus was 'revealed' to the world.

At the end of the Epiphany Mass the blessed chalk will be available (1 piece per family). After this in a traditional ceremony, you take the chalk home and mark the lintel of your “front door”, or as near as possible with prayer in the following way.

St Martin with S.Wilfrid & S.Alban

St Martin's church, set in the very heart of Brighton, now sharing the dedication with St Wilfrid and St Alban (titles of two parishes in the former Resurrection Team) was consecrated in 1875 as the memorial to Fr. Henry Wagner, one of Brighton's longest serving vicars and builder of churches. Originally it was to have two further purposes, one to be the Garrison Church of Brighton and the other to serve the community in and around the Lewes Road. The latter remains its purpose today.
