Lent, Holy Week and Easter at St George’s
Lent films:
Lent 2023
This year we will have a series of three films to provoke some thinking:
The Ten Commandments
2nd March, 19:00, St George’s Church
1956 version with Charlton Heston, Yul Bryner and Anne Baxter
Looking at God’s saving grace in the exodus, which foreshadowed the sacrifice made by Jesus
Amazing Grace
9th March, 19:00, St George’s Church
Faith in action – the story of Willam Wilberforce and his struggle to end the save trade
The Passion of the Christ
23rd March, 19:00, St George’s Church
Mel Gibson’s gritty version of the death of Jesus.
The films will be free, but donations will be welcome.
Please bring your own refreshments

The service will be followed by a bring and share Easter brunch
