Organist/Choir Leader

Known as the ‘Cathedral of the Downs’, St Andrew Alfristonis seeking to appoint an Organist/Choir Leader to direct the choir and provide music to enhance the liturgy and worship at St Andrew’s and on occasion, other churches within the Benefice. This post will support the continued development of an established choral tradition.

Duties to include Sunday morning Services (47 weeks allowing five weeks for holiday) and choir practices on Friday each week.

To play for Services in Holy Week, Easter, Christmas and some Feast Days.

Set in the midst of the beautiful Cuckmere Valley, St AndrewAlfriston is a popular venue for weddings (for which there is an additional fee.)

The Church has the benefit of a 3-manual Makin Organ and a Venables Grand Piano (5’ 6”).
