Wednesday 22nd February is Ash Wednesday which marks the beginning of Lent. There will be a Service at 7.00p.m. at Christ Church to mark this important day. During the Service there will be an opportunity to receive, in ash, the sign of the cross on our forehead, a reminder of the death of Jesus and the ancient sign of penitence, not simply for ourselves but for the sin and wrongdoing that is perpetuated in our name throughout the world.
