Introducing Meditation
Have you ever wondered about learning to meditate?

The health benefits are well documented:

Reduces stress and helps reduces anxiety. …
Promotes Emotional Health. ...
Enhances Self-Awareness. ...
Lengthens Attention Span. ...
May Reduce Age-Related Memory Loss. ...
Can Generate Kindness. ...
But meditation has its origins in spirituality and the search for God

The World Community for Christian Meditation says this of Meditation, sometimes also called Contemplative Prayer or Centring Prayer:

“The important aim in Christian meditation is to allow God’s mysterious and silent presence within us to become more and more not only a reality but the reality which gives meaning, shale and purpose to everything we do, everything we are”.

Cold Ash: St Mark

The purpose of the Hermitage Team is to enable, encourage and support the seven churches in their shared objective of growing as Christ's people in their individual parishes.  Our parishes are Cold Ash, Compton, East Ilsley, Frilsham, Hampstead Norreys, Hermitage and Yattendon.

"The parish of Cold Ash is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Oxford’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
