About Us
St Paul's is a thriving church in the "Open Evangelical" tradition. Our church community is a wide range of ages and ethnic backgrounds. Our worship style includes liturgy but is fairly informal. We use a wide variety of music - from contemporary songs to traditional hymns.
The first reaction we get from visitors is, "what a friendly church" - we hope you'll feel relaxed and at home if you come and see us. St Paul's is a designated "Intercultural Worshiping Community" within the Leicester Diocese, reflecting our ethnically diverse congregation.
We aim to worship God with reverence but without being over-formal. We give special emphasis to the reading and preaching of the Bible.
Our building was built in 1982. It is fully accessible for those with access needs. Both the church building and the Barnabas Centre next door are extensively used by the local community throughout the week for a wide range of activities.
Our Rector is the Revd Steve Bailey. Jan Barlow is our Intercultural Pioneer Minister and Lou McGoldrick our Youth Worker.
