A service of Holy Communion A choir sings for the services, except for the All-age Eucharist and during July and August. Children are welcome every week. The All Age service is the first Sunday of the month.
Prayer for healing by the laying on hands and anointing is available on the second Sunday of the month.

A service with a short prayer and reflection and time for silent prayer. This service is held in the Lady Chapel and there are candles and icons. The first Sunday of the month is silent prayer.

Monday-Friday. A said service of Morning Prayer (Common Worship) in the Lady Chapel.

A friendly Baby and Toddler Group that meets in the church with plenty of toys and room to play on ride-ons. There is no need to book. Refreshments are served. There is no charge, but donations are welcome. There are baby change facilities available. We are open term time and during the school holidays when older siblings are welcome.

The Book Group has decided on reading Lent in Plain Sight. This book takes ordinary objects like dust, bread, coins and shoes and relates them to God who is ever-present in our ordinariness. Each week we will focus on a particular object, helped by bible extracts, to quietly discern God's voice and God's presence in the mundane. The Book Group meets every Thursday at 10am in the Threshold. The hourly meeting is informal, always with a coffee in hand. All are very welcome.

We rehearse in St Michael's church every Thursday evening from 6.15 to 7.45pm. Some of our members stay on to rehearse on Thursdays with Summertown Choral Society, and the less musically-dedicated repair to a pub. On our "singing Sundays" we rehearse in church from 9.15 to 9.45am, and the service starts at 10am.

There are about a dozen people at each meal, not all from St Michael's and not all churchgoers. Our approach is that 'everyone is welcome'. We usually enjoy a 'full English' or a vegetarian option. Sometimes we have a speaker or arrange a trip to a local place of interest, but most often we just enjoy each other's company. The age range for this get-together is from 20 to 80! If you have some spare time on the first Saturday of the month and would like someone else to do the cooking, please come and join us.

Bupa Green Gates are trying to involve the local community in events occurring at the home. We are holding a Coffee morning every 1st Tuesday of the month at 10.00. and then a holy communion at 11.00. We would like to invite anyone to these events and it would be lovely to see some new faces.

Godly Play begins with children’s innate sense of the presence of God. It offers Christian language as a support for ongoing spiritual formation. It teaches a process that aims to promote an inner working model for life-long Christian learning.
Fundamental to Godly Play is the opportunity for wondering, an understanding of sacred space, an appreciation of the value of silence, a small group size, and a particular expression of hospitality.
