About Us
Welcome to St. Stephen the Martyr, Wolverhampton (Location via 'What3Words') We are about a five-five-minute walk from Wolverhampton Railway Station, the Midland Metro, and the City Centre. The church was consecrated in 1908 and has been rooted within the Anglo-Catholic tradition of the Church of England, which is why most of the congregation travels from a wide area. We are under the pastoral and sacramental care of the Bishop of Oswestry.
Our Mission statement is ‘We proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ through Word, Sacrament, and Service’ We welcome all who wish to share with us this mission as disciples of Christ. Mass is sung on Sundays at 11:00 a.m.
We are part of The Benefice of Wolverhampton Saint Martin and Saint Stephen and our sister church is St. Martin of Tours, Dixon Street, Wolverhampton.WV2 2BG (Location via 'What3Words')
Our Interim Priest, Fr Damian Feeney, is also vicar of the Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Ettingshall, Farrington Road, Wolverhampton WV4 6QH (Location via 'What3Words'); the 3 Society Parishes in Wolverhampton work closely together.
