The next meeting in the Village Hall will be on Thursday 26th November when we invite Timothy Moss from the Hixon History Society to talk on Commercial Banana Production - a very interesting subject.
November always suggests to me a cold dark night full of smoke and the smell of fireworks – yes, its Bonfire season! But turn to Jesus and use those warm flames and beautiful fireworks as indeed a Thanksgiving to God.
All poppies are being handmade by the village community and will be on display outside the Village Hall from 26th October (weather permitting). Why not dedicate a poppy to a loved one.
Do you have a spare 2 to 3 hours every other month? Our Church is ready to welcome another volunteer who could attend our bi-monthly church meetings and take minutes, in return you may be lucky to get a brew and biscuits
