A very large congregation experienced a range of emotions, from Sarah's uplifting, and uniquely relevant, family communion service to listening to a poem, specially written for the day and read beautifully by 7 year old Eva and then hearing Ivy, just 8 years old, singing faultlessly for a solid ten minutes while we took communion. I'm sure I was not the only one with a lump in my throat! Danny and Malcolm presided in their own inimitable way - only to highlight how much we will miss them when they leave us in August. The service ended with copious amounts of tea, coffee, cake and Prosecco. If you were not able to join us on this occasion please speak to someone that did - I'm sure they will be much better than me at conveying how very special it was, and PLEASE, do make every effort to join us all next time. It would be wrong to name any individuals, so our heartfelt thanks go to ALL involved.Eva's poem:In the beginning, God made the sky, Mountains so tall, and birds that fly. He painted flowers, bright and tall, and crafted creatures, great and small. The rivers flow, the trees stand strong, each one singing Creation’s song. We see His love in every hue, in morning’s light and evening’s dew. together we, as one, unite, In God’s love, we find our light. Hand in hand, we stand so tall, helping each other, one and all. In unity, we face each test, In God's embrace, we find our rest. Through every storm and sunny day, God’s steadfast love will guide our way
