This week has been a rush as St Luke's has prepared for activities after lockdown in a safe manner and they are now happening. Let's just say, hot off our press (are printing presses still hot nowadays?), that the Celebration Cream Tea enjoyed wonderful support and lovely weather; the oppressive heat was replaced by warm sunshine and a gentle breeze so we were blessed. Hats off to Pam Lowe for organising the whole event; it was a difficult ask after such a long period of social inactivity but her enthusiasm drew others in and what a success it was. The second big mention must go to Vicky and John Skinner, who came for a cream tea and ended up washing and drying pots by the dozen. Thank you to those in particular and to everyone else who supported the event, the village and St Luke's.
So no Biblical reflection this week; it was a great reminder that God created the world and saw that it was good. That also means that we are here to enjoy our life in that world; the Celebration Cream Tea was one of those moments. The photo you see is just one scene from the day.
