As the Covid numbers go up, the football frenzy gathers pace and people look towards 19th July with excitement and dread (it all depends on what you have had to face since February 2020), Tittensor is ready.
There might not be a 'Best Kept Village' competition this year but who can doubt the efforts made to brighten up the village and to lift everyone's spirits. Similarly, we have all seen dozens of events cancelled over the last 18 months, some private and some very public, but still there are plenty of events planned at St Luke's from this month onwards. From a Music Concert to our Celebration Cream Tea, from a Summer Café to a Quiz Night, there is a conveyor belt of social get-togethers aimed at allowing you and everyone else to enjoy life with others.
This is what God wants us all to do; live was never meant to be endless worry. It is a gift that allows us to revel in each other's company and to wonder at the rest of creation. We have all had to look at and think of our own mortality too much during 2020 and 2021. Now is a time for hope, for love and for thanks. Let's thank God for that gift and resolve to live life to the full, enjoying the world. Amen.
