Since our last update on 9 May, the digging required to install the drainage system has unearthed human remains from the Victorian and possibly the Georgian period. The work to remove, isolate and analyse will take some time during which the remains will be stored in the church. For this reason, as a mark of respect to the departed, our church is now closed to the public. A further update will be published as soon as we have further news.
It is too early to say what impact this will have on our Sunday services and coffee mornings, but we hope to resume in the not too distant future.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact myself.
