Opening

St Johns is open on most Sunday's for Sunday worship, apart from the 5th Sunday when a gathered service is held at one of the 6 churches in the benefice.

We are also open on alternate Friday's for coffee mornings, starting at 1030 (see our Coffee Morning page. On alternate Tuesdays we are also open for a churchyard tidy-up exercise (although this only usually takes place during the spring and summer months).

Our church is open on alternate weeks - please see the attached rota. If you would like to visit the church when it is closed, please contact the Ray Hughes (Churchwarden) who will do his best to help you.

Getting here

Great Bolas is a small village in north Shropshire, the nearest larger towns being the old market towns of Newport and Wellington which both date to the 1200s’; the new town of Telford which dates from 1968 and the county town of Shrewsbury, one of England's finest medieval market towns.

Each of these four towns provide greater access to a wider range of public transport including rail and motorway, the nearest of which is the M54 which provides links to the major road network. The nearest international airport is Birmingham International.

If you have access to SatNav, our postcode is TF6 6PQ. As you enter the village, look out for the brown sign with our church name which directs you to a no-through road, which will lead you to St Johns. There is limited parking outside the main gate, only enough for 2 cars, but is possible to park in the village near the bus stop, approximately 100 yards away.

Our what3words identifier is "lofts.warthog.factually".
