Safeguarding
The PCC of Stoke & Fenton takes its responsibility for the safeguarding of children and young people as well as vulnerable adults seriously. It has signed the House of Bishops’ safeguarding policy statement; Promoting a Safer Church.
The parish of Stoke upon Trent & Fenton is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Lichfield’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
The parish safeguarding policy can be viewed below. You can contact our Parish Safeguarding Officer if you have any concerns (contact Justin Ntambineza at [email protected] or on 07895 588248). To report any concerns please contact Kim Hodgkins (Diocese of Lichfield) on 01543 306099. For Out of Hours and Weekend Emergencies please call the Emergency Safeguarding number 0303 003 1111 (option 2). If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the Police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
