Creation of New Parish

A notice giving the objects of the proposed pastoral reorganization affecting the Parish of Holy Cross, Shrewsbury has been displayed near the west door and the south door of Shrewsbury Abbey, and at St. Peter’s Church in Monkmoor Road, and on the Church of England website (link underlined below)

The aforementioned proposed pastoral reorganization is the division of the existing Parish of the Holy Cross, Shrewsbury into two parishes: Parish of the Holy Cross (Shrewsbury) and the new Parish of St Peter's, Shrewsbury.

The Notice includes the last date by which representations regarding the proposed reorganization may be made to the Church Commissioners. Representations for or against the draft Scheme should therefore be made to the Church Commissioners by post or email no later than midnight on Monday 8th July 2024.
