About Us
St Andrew's Church is set in a quiet spot in the south-western corner of the village on Church Lane and is open daily between about 9am and 6pm [or dusk if that is earlier]. The church is simple in design but has a peaceful and prayerful atmosphere, and the congregation offers a warm welcome for those wishing to join them in the services there.
We are currently in a vacancy and so services are subject to change, but we have a service most Sundays at 9.30am*:
On 1st Sundays the service is Morning Prayer
On 2nd Sundays we join the congregations at one of the other churches in our benefice: St Bartholomew's, Moreton Corbet or St Mary's, Shawbury
On 3rd Sundays there is Holy Communion
On 4th Sundays there is Songs of Praise
* On 5th Sundays a service is usually arranged for the three churches of the benefice together - times and locations vary, so please check our website shropshirechurches.org or our noticeboard for details.
St Andrew's Stanton upon Hine Heath is grouped with the neighbouring churches of Shawbury and Moreton Corbet; all three buildings were begun in the 12th Century and are open daily if you would like to visit them.
We are glad to hear from those interested in baptism [christening], marriage, renewal of vows or simply in finding out more about the Christian faith which the three churches have represented here over almost a millennium.
There is a list kept in a purple folder on the table just inside the church to record the names of people we have been asked to pray for, and you are very welcome to add other names if you wish.
