The old windmill at Broad Eye in Stafford was the subject of an excellent talk by Irene Phillips in June. We started with an illustrated look at the very early history of Stafford as a town and it’s later development. Irene then described the motivation for building a windmill in the town and the detail of its construction. Next month in July we have our AGM followed by the summer buffet on 10th August.

As always we are pleased to encourage visitors (£2-50 each per night) to our monthly meetings, where you will be made very welcome and be entertained by speakers covering a wide variety of interests. We also have a light hearted competition each meeting for flowers or craft. Tea/coffee and biscuits are included followed by a raffle to round off the evening.
