Lent Course 'Broken'

Occurring
Every Wednesday at for 1 hour, 30 mins
Venue
St Peter's Church.
Address
St Peter's Church., Main Street, Yoxall Yoxall Burton-on-Trent, DE13 8PD, United Kingdom

This starts on Wednesday 21st February at 7 p.m. in St. Chad’s room at St. Peter’s, Yoxall and is a series of reflections for Lent based on the TV series, ‘Broken’, written by Jimmy McGovern and starring Sean Bean set in an estate parish somewhere in the UK. The series focuses on the life and ministry Father Michael Kerrigan, a Roman Catholic, priest who, despite past trauma and anxiety about his own inadequacies, attempts to bring the light of Christ into the lives of the people amongst whom he ministers. The series portrays real life at its most gritty and unvarnished, and in doing so raises many questions along the way about how to live faithfully when life is very hard. The course involves exploring themes raised by the programme through bible study, discussion and personal reflection.
