About Us
Currently St Michael's Church, in line national directives, is holding modified services in a Covid Secure environment.
The following are our current access times when "normal" life returns:
We are open for private prayer and contemplation or simply to explore the medieval origins of today's building on Sunday through Thursday mornings (9 - 12 noon).
On the 2nd Sunday of the month at 9.00 am there is an hour long Service of Morning Prayer with music,
On the 4th Sunday of the month at 9.00 am there is an hour long Communion Service with music and a sermon.
Other times can be by appointment made with the Church Wardens.
The Parish of Tatenhill is one of the three parishes in the Benefice of Barton under Needwood with Dunstall and Tatenhill. On a 5th Sunday of a month is a Benefice Service; an opportunity for all three congregations to come together for worship. St Michael's hosted the first Covid secure Benifice service in September in celebration of our Patron.
There is a page devoted to Tatenhill Church affairs in the Benefice magazine 'The Barton Chime': copies are available from Barton under Needwood and Dunstall churches which are open every day, as well as from St Michael's.
St Michael's has a facebook page, @stmtatenhill, which is updated regularly. The website provides more information on us and our building. The "Tatenhill Grapevine" facebook page @tatenhillgrapevine provides another source of information on parish activities including those centred on our Church.
