November is traditionally a time of remembering, when we would normally gather in church to think about those we have loved but see no longer, and then later in the month, we think of those who have died or been injured in active service.In order to comply with COVID restrictions and to keep the communities safe our Remembrance Services this year will take the following form.Gnosall 8th November10.45am outdoor service of remembrance and laying of wreaths at the Memorial Hall car Park. There will not be a parade this year and social distancing and track and trace procedures will be in place.High Offley 8th November10.50am outdoor service in the churchyard at St Mary's. FuneralsWe have lost two very much-loved members of our churches recently – both Audreys.The funeral service for Audrey Downs will be on Monday July 13th in Knightley churchyard.The funeral service for Audrey Newsome will be on Friday July 17th at Stafford Crematorium – family only. They are planning to hold a memorial service for Audrey Newsome next year both locally and at Keele.Re-opening our ChurchesYou will have seen in the news that churches are able to hold services again from this weekend. Our PCC will be meeting this week to discuss how we can safely open again for worship and when it would be best for our services to begin. At the moment we are holding services each Sunday on the telephone and via ZOOM. 9am on Sunday to join in a service on your telephone landline. 10am on Sunday by computer, tablet/iPad or iPhoneIf you haven't managed to join us yet do persevere, it would be so good to see and hear you- we have a practice session on Saturdays at 4pm and will very happily talk you through the process.
