Baby Basics
Baby Basics provides much needed essentials & equipment to mothers and families who are unable to provide these items for themselves; including but not limited to teenage mums, people seeking asylum and women fleeing domestic abuse and trafficking.
Working with midwives, health visitors and other professional groups to provide support directly where it is most needed, Baby Basics volunteers lovingly collect, sort and package a ‘Moses Basket’ of clothing, bedding , nappies, toiletries and toys as an attractive gift to new mothers.
Working out of Holy Trinity Church Heath Town, Wolverhampton, mainly supporting vulnerable mums from the nearby Heath Town housing estate in conjunction with the Hope Community and working with the midwives service at New Cross Hospital - our small team of volunteers meet as and when required to pack moses baskets, to provide a lovely gift to an expectant or new mum in our community
Our assistance is accessible through referral only from your supporting professional (e.g. midwife, health visitor or support worker ) or a charity via email only . We do not accept direct enquiries.
We accept donations of clothing in good condition suitable for babies up to the age of six months. We are always grateful for donations of Moses Baskets.
Donations can be dropped off at the Church Office ,next to Holy Trinity Church Bushbury Road , Heath Town, Wolverhampton - Monday to Friday between 9.30am and 12.30pm or alternatively in the Church itself on any Saturday between 10.30am and 12.30pm.
