Anyone visiting St Peter's Church in Drayton will know how difficult it is to get inside the building with steep steps going inside. Now, thanks to the hard work of PCC member and treasurer Giles Dessain working through all the regulations of both the local council as well as the Church of England, we have a beautiful path which takes people around the west side of the church to the South entrance and a level way in.
Kath Stuart, 97 next month, cut the ribbon on Palm Sunday, March 24th. Kath is warden emeritus and a long-time worshipper at St Peter's and it takes two members of her family to get her down the steps and back up again. Now she is so thrilled her journey, and that of others is so much easier.
