There is to be a clean-up in St. Werburgh's churchyard, Hanbury this Saturday (13th July), starting at 3pm. To be followed by a barbecue at 6pm. Last year we cancelled because of a bad weather forecast - and it turned out fine! This time we have promised not to cancel - although it may be difficult to operate the BBQ in a deluge. Please come along with your 'weapon of choice' and just find a patch of churchyard that needs a tidy up - grass cutting, weed pulling, hedge trimming etc.
We have to thank all the lovely volunteers who come along throughout the years and cut grass around the graves. We are very grateful for your work. We are also grateful to the Parish Council for taking responsibility for the area of closed churchyard immediately surrounding the church.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday.
Thank you.

Newborough All Saints

"The parish of Newborough: All Saints is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Lichfield’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
