St Lawrence Church has entered its third millennium as a Christian site for over a thousand years. The earliest church was an Anglo-Saxon Minster. The Norman rebuilding has given us a superb example of their work; admire the massive tower crossing and the South transept. The clerestory and many other later features attest to the continuing importance of St Lawrence Church as a building as well as its primary purpose as a place of Christian worship. In every way the building makes an important statement deserving of support.
