We remember Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a donkey on the first Palm Sunday and how the crowds cheered him. The service begins at the entrance to the Church Yard off St John's Hill and we follow the choir, and the donkey!, into church. If you would be more comfortable so doing please feel free to go directly to the church. The service then follows our usual Sunday pattern, but including a dramatized version of the Passion story.

Welcome to the home page for St Mary's Church Ellesmere. 

We are the Church of England parish church for Ellesmere and we welcome everyone who would like to join us for our services.   We are towards the Catholic (high church) end of the Church of England, our worship is fairly traditional in style, in a relaxed and friendly way.  We have an able and enthusiastic choir.  We have a Sunday School at our main service at 10.15 on a Sunday morning.
