About Us

St Paul’s is an Anglican Church that has been around since 1854. Much has changed since the original Church was knocked down in Gom’s mill and the current building completed on the new site during the second world war.

Our purpose remains the same – to reach out to our local community with the incredible, life changing love of God. We take seriously our commitment to the activities that you would expect from the Church of England, which includes conducting Weddings, Funerals and Baptisms. Our aim is to give a clear message of the Good News of Jesus which may be an old one, but is still relevant for our modern culture and society. Our mission statement is "To know Jesus and to make Him known". Our services reflect this with modern music, Bible teaching that is clear and relevant and an outlook that with God in our lives we have something to celebrate!
