Candlelit Last Supper - Maundy Thursday (Holy Communion, Tenebrae and Stripping the Altar)

Occuring
for 1 hour
Venue
St. Andrew's, Church Aston
Address
Greenvale Church Aston Newport, TF10 9JE, United Kingdom

Come and experience this powerful, candlelit, reflective re-telling of the story of the Last Supper leading to the crucifixion. This dramatically different encounter of The Last Supper will be performed and led by singers and simple language & liturgy.
It is our tradition that those who gather for this poignant and painful part of the journey of Holy Week are invited to enter and experience the liturgy of the story as it unfolds. Our candles will slowly be extinguished as part of the service and those attending are to leave in silence to allow for continued reflection and prayer as the story continues through Good Friday "Meditation at the Cross" and our celebration of resurrection on Easter Sunday...
Those attending will remain seated throughout, except for when invited to receive the bread and wine (those with mobility difficulties are free to remain where they are and be served in their seats). There won't be words on screen or paper to follow.
This will be streamed by Zoom also.
