Encountering God

We want our church to be a place where God is encountered and for us to be people who love and serve the Lord.

Our Sunday morning service is at 9.15am. You will meet a friendly group of people who gather together to worship God using one of the regular services of the Church of England. We sing both traditional hymns and some more contemporary songs, listen to the Bible and hear the word of God explained and we pray for ourselves, for others and for our world. On the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month, we celebrate Holy Communion at this service, when we remember Jesus by sharing bread and wine together. 

We don't have a Sunday School, but children and young people are warmly welcomed at St John's and we have an area in the church which is more comfortable for young children and their parents to sit.
