The Good Shepherd, Low Hill

Welcome to our church pages. We are the Church of the Good Shepherd in Second Avenue, Low Hill, WV10 9PE.  Our Sunday Service is held every week at 11 am (except during December, when service times vary). We extend a warm welcome to anyone who joins us, and we would particularly like to invite you if you are looking at this page.

We are part of the Parish of Bushbury, and along with St Mary's and St James's church, we are committed to the safeguarding of children, young people, and adults. We follow the House of Bishops' guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Lichfield’s safeguarding pages contains vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm, please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

“The Church of the Good Shepherd exists to go and share the good news, to help the people of Low Hill know God and his love.”

If you would like to know more about the church or speak to someone about God and his love for you, leave a message on the office phone 01902 731963 or email [email protected] or send a message via our Facebook page facebook.com/church.cogs and someone will get back to you.

Please note we are often confused with Good Shepherd Ministries Wolverhampton which operates a valuable ministry in the city centre supporting many who are marginalised, disadvantaged, or in crisis situations such as homelessness and hunger. Safeguarding

Parish of Bushbury Safeguarding Statement
The care and protection of children, young people and vulnerable adults involved in
Church activities is the responsibility of the whole Church. Everyone who participates
in the life of the Church has a role to play in promoting a Safer Church for all.
The Parish of Bushbury values its links with children, young people and vulnerable
adults. It will, therefore take all reasonable care to ensure the safety of children,
young people and vulnerable adults for whom it bears responsibility. This
responsibility extends to any of our children’s or young people’s groups or any
activity that brings adults and children together or any activity involving vulnerable
adults.
We recognise that everyone has different levels of vulnerability and that each of us
may be regarded as vulnerable at some time in our lives. As members of the Parish,
we commit ourselves to the respectful pastoral care of all children, young people and
adults to whom we minister. We are committed to establishing a safe, caring
community, which provides a loving environment where there is a culture of
‘informed vigilance’ as to the dangers of abuse.
