Praeludium Sancti Pauli

Praeludium Sancti Pauli was written especially for St Paul's 150 th anniversary celebrations by Tamsin Jones, and played by her at our Charity concert on 6 th June. The music was inspired by Heinrich Schütz's famous choral work Saul, Saul, was verfolgst du mich

Tamsin Jones comes from Burton-upon-Trent and studied music at Newcastle and Birmingham Universities gaining a PhD from the latter in 2000 for her research into the music of Heinrich Schütz (1585-1672).

Tamsin has an international reputation as a composer, but is relatively new to the organ; she is an occasional organist at St Paul's. The link below is the music played by the famous American organist Carson Cooman.
