Coronation Celebration Day

Join us as the village comes together to celebrate the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III. The events of the day will centre around the the Churchyard and The Square and will have a family festival vibe, including bouncy castles, face painting, refreshments, traction engines and more.

At 6:00pm, the Barton Churches Together will host a Civic Service on the North Lawn of St James' Church (wet weather will move the service inside) before we move into a "Proms in the Park" style evening of music on the lawn. The evening will culminate in the lighting of the Beacon on top of the Church Tower.

Welcome to St James' Church in Barton Under Needwood, near Burton on Trent in Staffordshire. We are an Anglican (CofE) church and part of the Lichfield Diocese.  

We are committed to showing and sharing God's love in our village and in the wider world. 

All are very welcome at any of our varied services and events. Our main service is at 10:30am each Sunday but do look out for how we "do" church in different ways. We hope there is something for everyone! Let us know if there more you would like from your parish church.
