As a local Christian Church which, in the words of our adopted Mission Statement, is joyfully committed to
‘Living the GOOD NEWS of God’s love for all….
Welcoming all people with open arms,
Exploring God’s Word with open minds,
Serving God’s world with open hearts’,
when we became aware of the educational charity called Inclusive Church which was set up to help create a more accepting and open church for all people, without hesitation our Church Council agreed unanimously to become a member church and be listed on their on-line public register, to help everyone feel assured that we really do aspire to ‘practice what we preach’. At All Saints, our aim is to be genuinely warmly welcoming and accepting all people with the unconditional love of God, which we believe is at the heart of Jesus’ ministry and indeed is also the transforming vision at the heart of the Inclusive Ministry network, as reflected in this statement from their website:
Inclusive Church is a network of churches, groups and individuals uniting together around a shared vision:
"We believe in inclusive Church - a church which celebrates and affirms every person and does not discriminate. We will continue to challenge the church where it continues to discriminate against people on grounds of disability, economic power, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, learning disability, mental health, neurodiversity, or sexuality. We believe in a Church which welcomes and serves all people in the name of Jesus Christ; which is scripturally faithful; which seeks to proclaim the Gospel afresh for each generation; and which, in the power of the Holy Spirit, allows all people to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Jesus Christ."
We do hope you will feel truly invited and encouraged to come ‘just as you are’ and experience God’s love for you, and allow us the joy of welcoming YOU with the open arms of the All Saints church community!”
