Tynings Lane Church

Tynings Lane Church is one of 3 Anglican churches which, along with the Hothouse project on the Redhouse estate, make up the parish of Aldridge in the Diocese of Lichfield.

We believe in the saving mercy of God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, knowing Him as our Lord, our friend, our strength. We long to see others come to know him too and seek to serve the community in His name.

We love welcoming new people to the church so whether you’re ‘just looking’ at the Christian faith or ready to ask some deeper questions, the doors are open for you to come and join us on this adventure with God.

There are various groups and activities throughout the week – see the other pages on this site.

As well as the activities, there’s also various areas of service for people to get involved in – music ministry, pastoral visiting, refreshments rota, gardening and countless others. Have a word with the wardens if you are interested in helping.

We hope you find Tynings Lane Church to be a place where you can develop a very special relationship with God – and become part of a loving community.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Aldridge: St Mary the Virgin, which includes Tynings Lane Church, is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officers (PSO). Our Diocese of Lichfield’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO [add their details here or use the button to link to a page that shows the info] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
