Sunday 29th September 2024

With September drawing to a close, the first signs of Autumn have begun breaking out around us. Leaves of yellow, brown and red are beginning to cover the ground, reminding us that Harvest time is not too far away. In days gone by, it was about now that farmers and labourers of old would have been checking, cleaning and readying their equipment for the upcoming harvest. This week, we will be returning to the Lectionary and asking how we at St. John’s are readying ourselves to bring people to Jesus. We will be taking a look at the interaction Jesus has with Nathanael beneath the fig tree and seeing what it means for us in the run-up to Harvest.
