Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent, a season of reflection, repentance and prayer. On this day it is customary for many people to receive ashes on the forehead in the sign of the cross, as a symbol of devotion, humility and sacrifice. All are very welcome to join and participate in this devotion as we mark the beginning of our Lenten season this year.
Our Ash Wednesday service will be 7.30pm at Holy Trinity and will involve both Holy Communion and the Imposition of Ashes.
