Do come and join us for a sociable walk around the parish boundary! ‘ Beating the Bounds’ is an ancient custom when maps were rare to make a formal walk around the boundaries of the Parish, led by the Parish Priest on Ascension Day or during Rogation week.
The day will start at Pishill Church at 9.30am, where the Priest, Mark Ainsworth, will say a prayer before we set off. The walk will take us to Maidensgrove and then end in Stonor Park, around 9Km and 3 hours later.

St. James, Bix

Welcome to St James Bix.  The church is open for private prayer every day from 10am - 4pm.  Our church is part of a Benefice (group) of 4 churches.  Services at St James are listed below, but when there isn't a service at St James there will be a service at one of the other churches in our benefice according to the following pattern (Nuffield is also connected to our group):

First Sunday of the month:  Holy Communion 9.15am Pishill church. 11.30am Morning Prayer Holy Trinity, Nuffield.

Second Sunday of the month: Holy Communion 10.30am St James, Bix. 11.30am Holy Communion Holy Trinity Nuffield. Choral Evensong 4pm (GMT, 5PM BST) St Nicholas, Rotherfield Greys

Third Sunday of the month: Holy Communion 9.15am St Bartholomew, Nettlebed.  Holy Communion 11.30am Holy Trinity Nuffield.  Evening Prayer 5pm ZOOM

Fourth Sunday of the month: All age service 10.30am. St James, Bix.  Holy Communion 10.30am St Nicholas, Rotherfield Greys.  Family Service 11.30, Holy Trinity Nuffield

Fifth Sunday of the month: One service of Holy Communion at 10.30am held in churches by alphabetical order.  Morning Prayer 11.30am Holy Trinity, Nuffield.
