Church Langton: St Peter

t Peter’s church is set in the village of Church Langton, in south Leicestershire, near to the town of Market Harborough. Worship is Anglican (Church of England). We use the ‘Common Worship’ red book for our services. St Peter’s is part of the Launde Minster Community in the Diocese of Leicester. The church serves three villages in its parish, East Langton, West Langton and Church Langton village itself.

The building is managed day-to-day by its PCC – or Parochial Church Council. We do not have our own priest but we have the support of the Area Deans for Launde Minster Community and of local retired clergy who help the PCC with services and pastoral care for its parishioners and wider church family. We are a friendly and welcoming team who enjoy meeting visitors.

Eco Church – St Peter’s has recently joined the Eco Church project, with the aim to improve the building and reduce its carbon footprint and to develop processes that better serve the wider environment.

Important: The church offers handwashing facilities and drinking water, but no WC at this point in time.
