Knossington: St Peter's

St Peter's Church sits in the heart of the small rural village of Knossington, within the Whatborough Benefice. Dating back to the 12th century, it was re-ordered in the mid 19th century by the Duncan family of the next door Knossington Grange and refurbished with pews, stained glass and decorative wooden panelling. The PCC are now actively progressing a 21st century re-ordering to ensure the longevity and accessibility of the building and making it a joint place of worship and Community hub for the village and it's visitors. Fundraising events will be posted on this website as they arise so please take a look at our events page. Regular services take place on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month.

Safeguarding

The parish of Knossington (within the Whatborough Parishes ) is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Leicester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs.
If you have a safeguarding concern, then please contact our local Safeguarding Co-ordinator, Mrs. Joan Gibson on 07789 937495 or the parish priest. The contact details for the Diocesan Safeguarding Team are available at the weblink below.
If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
