About Us
A 13th Century church for 21st Century People!
We are a small, (yet growing) and friendly church, catering for young and old and in-between.
We welcome children during services, although our monthly Messy Church is very popular with families. This is held on the second Sunday of each month. We use a big screen for singing both traditional hymns and some modern songs.
We also hold Cafe Church on the third Sunday of each month. We start with breakfast (bacon sandwiches, cinnamon bagels, fruit etc) then have informal discussions on a Biblical theme - nothing heavy!
Communion services are held on the fourth Sunday of each month at Waltham, although there is a communion service held each week in one of our group of churches (there are 7 altogether).
We'd love to see you on Sunday and, if you have time, chat to you over coffee and cake afterwards.
For detailed information about the history of the church, please see www.saveourspire.org.uk - a website which was kindly set up by a villager when our church spire was cracked in an earthquake in 2008!
The church building underwent renovations during 2016 - with a new, level stone-slabbed floor, servery and disabled access toilet being put in. It has made our 13th Century church more fit for purpose in the 21st century without losing the beauty of the workmanship of many centuries past.
