Vicars are a thing of the past. Until 1960 we had one of our own, then we shared with another parish, and gradually we got up to sharing with nine but it all fell apart. Happily (some say) we've had a resident priest for 25 years, whom we will call the Chaplain. We also have two churchwardens, which is better than many a village church can muster.
