About Us
Holy Trinity Over Worton is part of the Benefice of Westcote Barton with Steeple Barton, Duns Tew and Sandford St Martin, and Over with Nether Worton, known as the Barton Benefice.
Set on the edge of a quiet valley, this church serves a small but strong and faithful community.
The building is medieval, but was substantially renovated in the Victorian period. John Henry Newman preached his first sermon here.
There is a paved path from the road up to the church, and there is wheel-chair access by ramps: but the outer ramp needs to be placed before use. On Sundays and special services this will be done as required, but during the week those in wheelchairs should be accompanied.
There are several services each Sunday in the Benefice – to find out what services are held when and where, please see our website.
The website also has details about our clergy, bell ringers, choir and special events.
