Treasurer, Dave Bottoms has worked tirelessly through the winter months, whilst undergoing chemotherapy, to secure grant funding and personally raise money to enable St Mary's Church to undergo a programme of restoration. The lovely Victorian church, with some medieval features, has been increasingly suffering from damp problems, due in part to deterioration in the roof area. The PCC are now optimistic that work can start in the late spring. The work will not only help prevent further deterioration but will also make the building a much warmer and healthier place for people to gather.
